Bishop: Wonderland is another fantastic addition to L. Ann Marie's Badass Security Council series, and if you're not already hooked, you really should dive in from the beginning! The interconnectedness of the stories, the recurring characters, and the overall world-building are phenomenal. This book focuses on Brax Bishop, a reluctant president thrust into the role of teaching law to new recruits, and Marli Champion, a strong and independent woman with a mysterious past that only adds to the intrigue.

Their relationship is the heart of the story, and I found myself completely captivated by their dynamic. Bishop's patience and Marli's fiery spirit create a delightful tension that kept me turning the pages late into the night. I loved the way their relationship unfolds – the slow burn, the push and pull, the respect they have for each other despite their initial clashes. It’s a beautifully crafted romance that feels both realistic and incredibly satisfying.

The author masterfully weaves together the personal lives of the characters with the ongoing action and challenges faced by the BSC. Seeing familiar faces from previous books adds depth and enriches the overall experience. It's a testament to L. Ann Marie’s skill that even in a crowded cast of characters, everyone feels unique and fully realized.

However, I did have a minor quibble. While I appreciate the mystery surrounding Marli’s family, the lack of resolution regarding her lineage felt a little abrupt. It leaves a lingering question mark that I hope will be addressed in a future book. It's a small point, however, in what is otherwise a richly satisfying read.

Beyond the romance, the book is full of humor and heart. The interactions between Bishop and Marli are laugh-out-loud funny at times, and the supporting cast adds further comedic relief. The pacing is perfect, balancing action-packed moments with quieter, more intimate scenes. The detailed world-building and the development of the characters make this world feel real and vibrant. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next! Overall, Bishop: Wonderland is a highly recommended read, especially for fans of paranormal romance, action-adventure, and well-developed characters within a compelling world.
